1. What fruit (loved by monkeys) is used in Africa to make beer?  bananas How is it made exactly?  most of you got it correct  - basically fermented bananas. Many included a detailed description. What is this drink called?  accepted mbege, urwaga, lubisi as it depended on which part of Africa was referenced - a little tricky :)

2. What is the most popular pizza topping in Russia?  mockba What all is in this topping? a combination of sardines, tuna, mackerel, salmon & onions

3. Name the 2 new flavors of Coke & Pepsi introduced in Japan for the summer.  Coca-Cola Plus+ Catechin - Shiso Pepsi What is the ingredient in each that makes them different from the regular versions?  Coke - green tea/ Pepsi - shiso (from the mint family) About how much in yen would kanojo pay for a bottle of each in the convenience store? Coke was 154 and Pepsi was 147 (Accepted answers that were within 15 yen) ** We tried the Coke - can’t taste the green tea flavor at all. Will try the Pepsi soon.

4. What fruit did Teet and his family recently pick?  cherries Within .5 kg, how much did they pick? 1.5 kg In which country did they enjoy this activity? Lithuania

5. Now some trivia about you!  What has been the weirdest food you have eaten?  What are the circumstances or place where you had that food?  Would you eat it again?

Hello Teeters!

We know that during the weekends, many of you are busy with family and home-related activities. So we have decided to change the start time of Teet Hours beginning this Saturday - June 27, 2009.

** Teet Hours will begin at 23:00 chat time on Saturdays.**

For those who live in the US, that is 4 pm PDT and 7 pm EDT. It is 7 am for WST in Australia, 4:30 am for New Delhi, India, and 3:00 am for Moscow, Russia. If your time zone is not listed, you can go here to figure out the new start time for where you live.

Only the start time is changing, there will still be 12 prizes offered on 20-minute timers. We look forward to seeing you at 23:00 chat time on Saturdays for some fast-paced Teet fun. Please join us!

It’s been a while since we’ve had a Teet contest and with spring here, it seems like a nice time to have one where you can show off your creative side.

What we will have is a Teet writing contest. There will be several categories and the top writer(s) in each category will win something special. You know we don’t like to reveal too much in the beginning, but we’re sure you will like it!

Categories

A. Short composition- under 100 words

B. Essay - please limit to 500 words

C. Poetry

D. Parody or spoof of a song or poem

Rules:

1. Each teeter may enter each category as many times as they like.
2. Please submit one comment for each category submission and put the category letter and your email address in the email subject line. Don’t forget to include your Teet user name. * Please note: This information should be submitted as a comment to this blog post & your submission(s) will be seen as a comment to this post. *

Recently we adjusted the payouts on points you can receive for your guesses and dice rolls in the Chance game. Below is the new payout for Guess:

Also, we made changes to some of our badges in order to balance the game play. Points Hunter has been adjusted to give you 30% of your daily earned guess and roll points now. Time Digger has been adjusted & now gives 7 points if you miss entering a guess.

Please check here to see our newest badge addition - Points Hunter Eater. This special badge is good for 90 days and will add 50% bonus points to your daily earned guess & roll points. Amazing!

Hello again Teeters!

As mentioned in the recent video blog, we are continuing to work on sect.com, but we are also addressing other matters related to Teet.net as we have time.

You have probably noticed a change in the dice roll for the Chance game. We now have a total of 24 dice rolling instead of the previous 12. This  means that a top score could be 144.

Q. How will this affect the Teeters who hold the Faith +1, +2, and +3 badges?

A. With a Chance roll of 24 dice, those Teeters who carry any Faith badges on their accounts will see that those badges will now bring double the benefit!

Faith+1 will = Faith +2

Faith +2 will = Faith+4

Faith+3 will = Faith+6

One-time use Faith +3 badge will = Faith+6

Q. Will this affect those who carry the Phantom badges?

A. Not at all. Those players will still have one or two phantoms rolling with them.

Q. Is it possible to roll a score less than the number of dice?

A. Well, it’s possible to roll less than 24, but not likely. Dice values will remain 0-6.

** Finally, we have made changes to the Leader Board , especially the higher spots. We recognize the efforts and strategy that it takes to reach the Leader Board and stay there all week and want to reward our loyal Teeters with even better payouts. Hello Teeters!

First, we would like to thank each of you who took time to stop by and celebrate the 1 year anniversary of this Site. We hope that you had some luck or at least some fun times.

As you might recall, we did some live trivia during the festivities. Typically, we strive to get those trivia points awarded prior to the weekly reset. But the anniversary celebration was more time-consuming than what we normally have set up and it looks like the trivia points from this week will NOT be added before the Leaderboard resets. We apologize for this delay, but points will be added next week. So think of it as a little jump start on next week’s LB race.

Thanks again for your participation and helping to make our 1st year so special.
